Located in Eastern Alabama, Auburn isn't a city that is easily dismissed as just another southern city out in the 'boonies'. Originally known as the 'Loveliest Village on The Plains', Auburn was named in the top 10 best places to live in 2009 and is the nineteenth quickest evolving areas in the USA. Auburn is defined by it's university-Auburn University, which is defined by it's highly competitive NCAA football team-the Auburn Tigers. Considering the fact that Auburn is located only an hour and twenty minutes from the Atlanta airport, it's an ideal town to shoot a film, TV episode, music video, or commercial in.In addition to a variety of Auburn Hotels, there is a golf course that will appeal to the production crew that prefers the Sunday off.

The town has seen itself as a part of many films, TV episodes and novels.

Beach Head, a character from GI JOES, was from the city. Although not filmed in Auburn, Tim Burton's Big Fish, which was originally a book by Daniel Wallace Bg Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions), is largely set in Auburn. The city has been mentioned in the 1960 film Ocean's Eleven and the 1971 film Brian's Song. Harper Lee mentions Auburn in To Kill A Mockingbird. In Heartbreak Hotel, Anne River Siddons, a writer of novels and Auburn University graduate, created a campus like Auburn. Caroline Ivey's characters travel to Auburn in her novella Family. All of Ann B Pearson's mystery novels were set in a fiction version of Auburn-Ann had graduated from Auburn University, where her grandfather was a school president. Dr. Pharamond Haristeen, a fictional veterinarian in the mystery series written by Rita Mae Brown graduated from the Vet school in AU. In the short story, Her Kind of Want, Jennifer S. Davis mentions Auburn. On Saturday Night LIve, a hit comedy sketch show, Auburn was an opening part of the show in a song that has 'the lights of Auburn, Alabama in it. In A Love Song for Bobby Long, the lead character played by John Travolta is an ex Auburn University English Professor, while the film's supporting character, played by Gabriel Macht, is an ex Auburn U. TA. Covering all aspects of entertainment, in the game, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, a lead villain is actually identified as an ex football player from Auburn University.

And so, it is easy to come to the conclusion that Auburn, Alabama is a town not ignored by the commercial entertainment industry. Considering the fact that Auburn has a thriving economy packed with Auburn Hotels, two major shopping centers, countless restaurants, bars, and more, it is probably a perfect place to shoot any commercial venture. If a production crew feels the need to stay for an extended period of time, lets say a couple of months to a couple of years, Auburn's infrastructure has been built to last. Auburn Hotels can accommodate any number of visitors. If the crew were to stay longer, the Auburn Public School system is top notch and has been ranked in the nation's best schools. Having been named in the top ten best places to live in 2009, Auburn knows the importance of hospitality.

Shooting a film, TV, commercial, or music video in Auburn would be the best decision for any production crew that is looking for a unique experience.
